context
The client is the Gödöllő municipality. The new wing — adjoining the existing school block — adds four classrooms, a small gymnasium, and a connecting corridor. The full build had to be completed within the 12-week summer break, so the school year could start uninterrupted in September.
brief
The strict 12-week deadline, façade ratios that had to match the existing block, and public-building structural plus fire-safety codes — together pointed to SIP-element construction and prefabricated façade panels. The municipal budget was tight; every trade decision had to fit inside it.
concept
Reinforced-concrete slab, SIP-element internal partitions, prefabricated sandwich-panel façade. The four classrooms share a single module so that mobile partitions can open them into two larger spaces. The gymnasium's acoustic ceiling and rubber floor were installed in-house. The new wing meets the existing block via a fire door and a glazed corridor.
outcome
We delivered eight days ahead of the 12-week deadline. At term start, four classes moved into the new rooms; the gymnasium was fully booked within two months. The municipality has invited tenders for two further school extensions — the project confirmed that SIP-element construction can hit the tight schedules of the public-building segment.
